Its Christmas party time, and that means fabulous hair from Salon 2. For longer hair it’s all about softness and simplicity. Plaits, loose side ponytail and messy upstyles are all in this season.
Here are our most requested upstyles by Katie Codd, Senior Stylist at Salon 2.
The soft Upstyle – this is one of our most popular styles requested by clients. Soft and messy yet would look stunning at any party.
The Plait – this soft plait upstyle is perfect for the Christmas party where you want to try something different without being too formal.
Side Ponytail – This hairstyle is again very soft and there are many variations. Hair is clipped to one side with lovely soft curls.
Medium and Short hair by Noelle Marshall, Senior Stylist at Salon 2.- Short hair is all the rage right now thanks to some super stylish celebrities. Frankie from the Saturday’s band always looks amazing with her cool short hairstyles. The lob – or ‘long bob’ –is still very popular and now with a twist on it we have the wob, the wavy hairstyle, which is favoured by the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Beyoncé and Taylor Swift, which adds a bit of bounce and body in order to create a more modern and youthful look.
GENTS LOOKS
Recently, in Salon 2, we’ve noticed our male clients becoming more experimental with length and lines in their haircuts. Here are our top styles for men this Christmas season by Ann Casey, Senior Stylist at Salon 2.
The Contrast Weight Line – These pictures show just how extreme these type of hairstyles can get. I personally think they look great with more length on top. Looks great with the current beard trend.
Modern Short Back & Sides – This is a very modern, versatile haircut that can be worn in a variety of ways. Here, the back and sides are nice and tight with all the length to the top, this is perfect for guys with longer face shapes as it helps balance their features
The Skin Fade – This is a very popular, current haircut. The sides have been taken even shorter as the hair pretty much disappears into the hairline. The key to this style is to maintain length at the front.
The Undercut – We’ve seen a huge increase in the number of men asking for undercuts at the salon recently. This is down to guys choosing to grow more length through the top but still wanting to keep the sides nice and tight.
